The Anthony Kill creek runs from Round Lake down to the Hudson River.  Every spring the Tenandeho White Water Derby is held on this creek from Coons Crossing down to the Hudson River, which is what we decided to paddle on this trip in preparation for the race.  It's a relatively small creek with a few spots with some fun whitewater.  I made the trip in my kayak without a spray skirt, although my boat sank in the last 50 yards when I had a few waves come over the bow and filled the boat all the way up.  But the trip was a lot of fun.  I believe you can paddle the creek all the way from Round Lake to the Hudson river, only portaging once for a beavers dam, but I haven't actually done that entire trip yet.  On this trip we all put quite a few good scratches / gouges in the bottoms of the boats since the fast moving whitewater sections are pretty rough with rocks all over.  But we're planning on paddling the creek again next week in the White Water Derby, hopefully we'll have a little rain before the race to help out the bottom of my boat.
